"Feeling things"

I went to the Exhibition of Olafur Eliasson, a artist in Iceland.

アイスランドの芸術家、オラファー・エリアソンの展示に行きました。

I played with my eyes.

自分の視覚と戯れてきました。

The image, a big mirror was connected with a car run around a city, impressed most among three works. 

３つの作品のうち、街の中を車に付いた大きな鏡が走る映像が一番印象的でした。

MONSTER

Somehow I don't hate the monster.

なぜか憎めないモンスター。

This way to use the spray become reference for me.
スプレーの使い方が参考になった。

It is interesting that the figure came from a spray stimulate some image.
スプレーから生まれた形がイメージを刺激するのが面白い。









I had called monsters on a corner of my note sometimes.
私もたまにモンスターをノートの隅に召還してたな。

It is cute and sad vaguely.
かわいくて、どこか切ない。

I met Sagan.

This book caught my eye after I come in a book store today. I bought this pocketbook without hesitation.

今日本屋に入ってすぐ、この本が目についた。ためらわずにこの文庫を買った。

 

I have ever hear in a some measure that words, "BONJOUR TRISTESSE" "Sagan".

『悲しみよ、こんにちは』「サガン」というコトバは、聞いた事がある程度の私が。

I felt she is interesting actually when I read it.

読み始めると、実に興味深い人。

And, her words are beautiful and sharp.

そして、言葉が、綺麗で鋭利。

I was fascinated by her in a matter of seconds.
一瞬にして魅了された。

But it is also greatly due to the ability of Tomiko Asabuki, a transrator.

それは翻訳家の朝吹 登水子さんのチカラも大いにあるけれど。

I became wanted to read Sagan's book.

サガンの本が読みたくなった。

And, to learn French.
フランス語を学びたくなった。

I felt the words are profound.

言葉の奥深さを感じた。

My word have been thought stale whenever I went through words

私が言葉を重ねる度に自分の言葉が陳腐に思えてしまうほどに。

It was such meeting.

そんな出会いだった。

This book was "a beginner's book for Sagan" which fit for me.

この本は、そんな私にぴったりの「サガン入門書」だった。

( In brief, it is very easy to read and recommended. )
( つまりはとっても読みやすくてオススメなのです。)

Is a pedestrian crosswalk universal?

横断歩道って、世界共通なのかな？

I thought it and retrieved by google.
と思ってググってみました。

The pedestrian crosswalk can be seen in Japan seems to be seem a lot in the world.  
日本でみられる横断歩道は、世界でも多く見られるみたい。

In America, it is also only two lines for stopping a car.

アメリカでは車止めの２本線だけのものもある。

It is simple.

シンプルだなぁ。

In United Kingdom, it seem to say "Zebra crossing".

イギリスでは、横断シマウマって言うみたい。

By the way, yellow pedestrian crosswalk is "Tiger crossing"

ちなみに黄色い横断歩道は、横断タイガー。

By literal translated in Japanese, they are funny naming.
日本語で直訳すると、ゆかいなネーミング。

As if a gigantic footprint.

Only a white cloth spread out there.

白い布が、そこに広がっているだけ。

But, it seems there is something.

なのに、そこに何かあるみたい。

As a hole to the underground. Or a house can't be seen.

地下への穴か。見えない家か。

It might is because of the power both plain and white.

無地と白のチカラなのか。

Or feeling empty.

人気を感じないからなのか。

I saw by cat's eyes for a change.

たまには、猫目線。

Even such thin grass become a roof, a pillar and a floor for insects. 

こんな薄っぺらい草でも、虫にとっては屋根になり、柱になり、床になる。

It is the grass-architecture. The green town.

草の建築。緑の町。

I wanna go there one time.

一度行ってみたい。

By the way, what's this plant?

ところで、この植物なんだろな？

It looks as if a bunch of green soybeans turned.

枝豆の房がひっくり返ったみたい。

Powers of Ten

I found this famous film, that I first watched at the college and though about scale, on You tube.

大学で初めて見て、スケールについて考えさせられたこの有名な映画をYou Tubeで見つけました。

Then, I tried to translate the explanation of it to Japanese.

そこで、そこの説明文を日本語訳してみました。

"Power of Ten"  is an academic film which was made in 1969.

『Powers of Ten』は1968年に作られた教育映画。

Charles and Ray Eames who are famous for furniture design wrote the scenario and directed. 

家具デザインで有名なチャールズとレイ・イームズ夫妻が脚本を書き、監督しました。

It doesn't fade away no matter when I watch.

何度見ても色褪せないなぁ。

Vending machine lights get brighter the later it gets.

夜になればなるほど、力強く光る自販機。

Am I the only one who thinks it's scary sometimes...!?

By the way, I like "KIRIN LEMON for adults" in these drink.

ちなみに、この中では「大人のキリンレモン」が好き。

It says it's an adult carbonated drink.

大人系炭酸。

Marciel house!!

I found cute illustrations.

かわいいイラストを見つけました。

I wish to draw soft picture like these. 

こういう、ほわんと和む絵、描けたらなぁ。

I'm interested in a few series of "Mr/s ○○" and "food"  in Marciel's illustrations.

Marcielさんのイラストでは、"○○さん"と"たべもの"シリーズがお気に入り。

 

A picture displays the personality and feeling fully as well as a character.
文字もそうだけど、絵もすごく人柄や気持ちを表す。

And so, conversely, It is said that it would be near to your hope whenever you draw deliberately with a hope for future image.

だから、逆に、こうなりたいと意識して描くと、だんだん近づいていくらしい。

By that accumulation, imitation would became a identity.

その積み重ねで、真似っこがオリジナルになっていくのかな。

Spider lily

It was come out glamorous with a flash.

フラッシュをたくと、妖しげに写る。

Many spider lilies like dots decreased to a cluster of this without notice.

点々とあった彼岸花もいつの間にかこの一房だけだった。

The leaves were full of holes.

あなぼこだらけの葉っぱたち。

I wonder how much hole the leaves can get, till they would no longer be leaves.
どこまで穴が空けば，葉っぱじゃなくなるのだろう。

The sky start to blur palely as if it finished today's task.

今日の仕事を終えたように薄く霞みだす空。 

The cars run through the air.

空気を貫く車たち。

Dorayaki

When I would eat a Dorayaki yesterday, I thought, somehow,

昨日、どら焼き食べようとした時、ふと思った。

"It is difficult to photograph Dorayaki."

”どら焼きの写真って、撮るの難しそう。”

Right then, I tried to photo it.

じゃあ、撮ってみよう。

So, This time is a gallery of Dorayaki.

ということで、今回はどら焼きギャラリーです。

This model is a Dorayaki of Kikyouya. 

モデルさんは、桔梗屋のどら焼きでした。

Bean paste of adzuki beans was modest in sweet.

小豆の餡は、ほんのりとした甘さ。

I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

J.B.BURGERS CAFE in Shibuya

I dropped in to J.B.BURGERS CAFE in Shibuya.

渋谷のJ.B.BURGERS CAFEにぶらっと立ち寄った。

I sat down near the open terrace.

オープンテラスの近くに座ってみた。

It's away from the main street, so it wasn't too noisy and I felt comfortable.

大通りから外れてるから、うるさ過ぎずにちょうどいい感じ。

I drank a herbal tea of Kyoho, a type of grape.

私は、巨峰のハーブティーを飲んだ。

It had a nice smel.

いい香り。

The paper cup had this print.

その紙コップには、このプリントがついてたよ。

It is cute.

かわいい。

Unfortunately, I didn't eat a burger this time...

残念なことに、今回はバーガー食べなかった…。

But I ate potato fries. They were tasty!

ポテトは食べたけどね。おいしかった！

Next time, I wanna eat a burger.

次回はバーガー食べようっと。

I listened to J-WAVE, a Japanese radio channel.

J-WAVEを聴いていた。

I was interested in their talk about COOL JAPAN with numero TOKYO editor in chief.

numero TOKYOの編集長とのCOOL JAPANについての話が興味深かった。

The summary is...

概略すると...

" It is easy for movement to occur in Japan. Nationality of uniformity which is opposite to super indentity in other countries is what makes Japanese culture. COOL JAPAN is produced from harmony of human nature."

「ムーブメントがおきやすい国、日本。諸外国にある超個性の反対、画一性の国民性が日本のカルチャーを生み出している。COOL JAPANは和の人間性によって作り出されている。」

Then, somehow, I went to the web site of numero TOKYO.

それで、なんとなくnumero TOKYOのウェブサイトへ。

And, This clothes caught my eye this. 

で、この服ちょっと気になった。

Bitter melon Saute

Today's supper was the Bitter melon Saute.

今日の夕食は、ゴーヤチャンプルー。

This is a local cuisin in Okinawa.

これは沖縄の郷土料理。

In Okinawa, "Bitter melon" is said "Goya" and "saute" is said "chanpuru".

沖縄では、"苦瓜"="ゴーヤ"で、"炒め"="チャンプルー"と言う。

Okinawa had been Ryūkyū Kingdom until the Meiji period. And so, there are left many original words which are different from Japanese.

沖縄は明治時代まで琉球王国だったから、日本語とは違う独自の言葉が多く残されている。

Even so, the Okinawa restaurant increased more than in the past.

それにしても、昔に比べて沖縄料理屋さん増えたなぁ。
