City Wall

There are many City Walls in Tokyo.

東京には都市の壁が多い。

It's architecture spaces which city formed.

都市が形成した建築空間。

I like to walk there.

そこを歩くのが好き。

What is this?

Answer : Tokyo Tower

答え：東京タワー

It is unclear just by looking up from ground against sun. 

逆光で下から見上げるとわかりにくい。

Incidentally, I went up it.Of course, I want up by stairs.

ちなみに、東京タワー登りました。もちろん、階段で。

It has 600 stairs that go up to big observation deck that it's  150m in height.

150mの高さにある大展望台までの600段。

I looked at surrounding buildings becoming smaller and smaller and the skeleton of Tower before my eyes.

小さくなる周辺の建物たちとタワーの骨格を間近に見れました。

It is insipid to take the elevator! I recommend it.

エレベーターで行くなんて味気ない！オススメです。

Tokyo Tower was more retro by saving on electricity.

節電モードで、レトロ感も増していた東京タワーでした。

This building is a vintage apartment along Meiji st. in Jinguumae, Shibuya Ward. 

渋谷区神宮前の明治通り沿いにあるヴィンテージ・マンション。

It was completed when the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, and it says a pioneer of designer's apartment. 

1964年、東京オリンピック開催の中に完成し、デザイナーズマンションの先駆けと言われている。

As I go through there, I see it unconsciously.

ここを通る時、ついつい見てしまう。

elementary school

I walked around my elementary school after a long separation.
久しぶりに母校の小学校の近くを散歩した。

There are nothing.
何もなかった。

Instead, new elementary school build near this vacancy.
代わりに、新しい小学校が建っていた。


I vaguly felt lonely.
なんだか淋しくなった。

a cruise on certain port

Though it's natural now, I cruised with having a dinner at the end of the year.

今更ですが、年末にクルージングディナーをしました。

My pictures were blurred by the cold and ship's swing. 

せっかくの夜景ですが、寒さと船の揺れで写真がブレブレでした。

But, the person who know there is sure to understand.

でも、わかる人にはわかるはず。

Here is Yokohama.

ここが、横浜だと。

 By the way, the building of second photo's center is OSANBASHI, it's my favorite.  

ちなみに、二枚目の中央の建物は私の好きな大さん橋です。

Since I didn't have an image of the front of OSANBASHI from the sea,  I was excited a bit.

海から真っ正面に見る大さん橋のイメージがなかったので、ちょっと興奮しました。

I recommend the cruise if you will go sightseeing in Yokohama.

横浜を観光するなら、クルージングはおすすめです。

I recognized again a fact that a row of buildings in Yokohama were designed so that the view  from the sea is beautiful.
横浜の街並は海から見た時にキレイにみれるように計画されたという事実を再認識しました。

Next time will be at noon, because I want to see piers individually.

個人的には埠頭を見てみたいので、次は昼に。

OSANBASHI YOKOHAMA

Meiji Shinto shrine on New Year's Day

I visited Meiji Shinto shrine in Harajyuku on New Year's Day.

元旦の日に原宿にある明治神宮へ初詣に行った。

It was noon on New Years Day, so there were many people.

元旦の昼だから人でいっぱい。

Maybe I might have waited about a hour.

一時間くらいは並んだかも。

But, It's good for various people to pay homage at a shrine for New Year, are good.

でも、色んな人が新年のお参りをする姿っていい。

I braced myself to start a New Year again.

一年がまた始まったと身を引き締められる。

I don't have an especial religion. But, I like the way of Japanese thinking that cherish a lot of gods without religions.

私は無信教だけど、宗教関係なく八百万の神を大切にしようとしてきた日本の考え方は好き。

So, people enjoy various events like this in a party mood.

だから皆こうして色んな行事をお祭りのように楽しめる。

Anyway,  people gathered yet.

それにしても、まだまだ集まる。

Harajyuku is worthy to be popular. There's no break even during New Year's.

さすが原宿。元旦も休みなし。

vacancy 'n' weeds

Vacant land and weeds.

空き地と雑草。

There was vacant land on other side of the cat-street in Shibuya.
キャットストリートの裏側に空き地ができていた。


I guess it's fresh that there are weeds growing on vacant land in Shibuya.
渋谷に雑草の生えた空き地ってなんだか新鮮。

People seems not a wall but waves which be gone. 
人が壁のように波のように消えていく。

I tried to make first movie by myself.

自身初の動画を作ってみた。

I delayed in uploading this.

アップロードするのに手間取ってしまった。

It was fine this time, though I was hurried.

この時は急いでいたけど、天気がよくて。

And more,  fallen leaves of cherries were lively. 

それでいて、桜の落葉が鮮やかだった。

Such day, it isn't bad to look down.

こういう日は、下を向くのも悪くない。

Early morning in Shibuya

People and cars are a few also in Shibuya early morning.

渋谷でも、早朝は人も車も少ない。

It seems different town.

違う街みたい。

PED XING

Is a pedestrian crosswalk universal?

横断歩道って、世界共通なのかな？

I thought it and retrieved by google.
と思ってググってみました。

The pedestrian crosswalk can be seen in Japan seems to be seem a lot in the world.  
日本でみられる横断歩道は、世界でも多く見られるみたい。

In America, it is also only two lines for stopping a car.

アメリカでは車止めの２本線だけのものもある。

It is simple.

シンプルだなぁ。

In United Kingdom, it seem to say "Zebra crossing".

イギリスでは、横断シマウマって言うみたい。

By the way, yellow pedestrian crosswalk is "Tiger crossing"

ちなみに黄色い横断歩道は、横断タイガー。

By literal translated in Japanese, they are funny naming.
日本語で直訳すると、ゆかいなネーミング。
