It was the morning before last in the all clear sky, and I discovered a spider.h
The spider ran away into a pipe then.

一昨日の朝、雲ひとつない空で、クモを発見。

でもクモはパイプの中へ逃亡。

Incidentally, the clouds and a spider are same sound in Japanese.

Both call it "KUMO".

ちなみに雲とクモは日本語で同じ音です。

両方とも「くも」と呼びます。

Well, this post was a stale joke.

"There is not the clouds but there is a spider."
"There is not KUMO but there is KUMO."

そう、今回の記事は陳腐なジョークでした。

「雲はないのにクモがいる。」

Chinese sentence pattern 1

I try to learn Chinese little by little.

少しずつ中国語を勉強してみます。

<Sentences was used verb>

1) 我 去，他 不 去。
    Wŏ qù, tā bú qù.
   ｳｫｰ ﾁｭｰ  ﾀｰ ﾌﾞｰ ﾁｭｰ

私は行きますが、彼は行きません。（私は行くが、彼は行かない。）
He don't go though I go.


☆中国語では、人称によって動詞の形が変わらない。
☆「〜ではない」という否定文には、動詞の前に"不 bù"を置く。
★"不"は第四声だが、次ぎにくる言葉が第四声の場合は”bú”と第二声で発音。



2) 我们 喝 茶。
    Wŏmen hē chá.
    ｳｫｰﾒﾝ     ﾎｰ  ﾁｬｰ

私たちはお茶を飲みます。（私たちはお茶を飲む。）
We drink tea.


☆動詞に目的語がある時は、目的語を動詞のすぐあとに置く。

KAMAWANU × KADOKAWA

I remember as if it's new that Shinchosya Bunko with the special cover for Japanese masterpieces in last year that was interesting. 

去年の新潮社文庫名作のスペシャルカバーが印象的で記憶に新しい中、

And then, in this year, I'm interested in the special cover of Kadokawa Bunko which collaborated with KAMAWANU, Tenugui (Japanese towel) brand. 

今年は角川文庫の"てぬぐい"ブランドの"かまわぬ"とコラボレートしたスペシャルカバーが気になる。

These designs are cute and tasteful.

デザインがかわいくて風情がある。

I guess they suit summer.

夏にぴったり。

I'll buy them next time before they are sold out.

By the way, I bought these two books in the last year.

金銀で合わせてみた。

I wanted other books but they had sold out...

This building is a vintage apartment along Meiji st. in Jinguumae, Shibuya Ward. 

渋谷区神宮前の明治通り沿いにあるヴィンテージ・マンション。

It was completed when the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, and it says a pioneer of designer's apartment. 

1964年、東京オリンピック開催の中に完成し、デザイナーズマンションの先駆けと言われている。

As I go through there, I see it unconsciously.

ここを通る時、ついつい見てしまう。

Wasanbon

I ate sweets made from Wasanbon, refined Japanese sugar.

和三盆のお菓子をいただきました。

They are SyoChikuBai(pine-bamboo-ume), a bream, rice straw bags, a crane & a turtle, and the Rabbit in  Chinese astrology.

松竹梅、鯛、米俵、鶴亀、そして干支の兎。

They are auspicious figures for congratulating the New Year.

新春をお祝いして縁起がいいかたちばかり。

These sweets melted smoothly and they ware delicious.

すぅっと溶けておいしかった。

a cruise on certain port

Though it's natural now, I cruised with having a dinner at the end of the year.

今更ですが、年末にクルージングディナーをしました。

My pictures were blurred by the cold and ship's swing. 

せっかくの夜景ですが、寒さと船の揺れで写真がブレブレでした。

But, the person who know there is sure to understand.

でも、わかる人にはわかるはず。

Here is Yokohama.

ここが、横浜だと。

 By the way, the building of second photo's center is OSANBASHI, it's my favorite.  

ちなみに、二枚目の中央の建物は私の好きな大さん橋です。

Since I didn't have an image of the front of OSANBASHI from the sea,  I was excited a bit.

海から真っ正面に見る大さん橋のイメージがなかったので、ちょっと興奮しました。

I recommend the cruise if you will go sightseeing in Yokohama.

横浜を観光するなら、クルージングはおすすめです。

I recognized again a fact that a row of buildings in Yokohama were designed so that the view  from the sea is beautiful.
横浜の街並は海から見た時にキレイにみれるように計画されたという事実を再認識しました。

Next time will be at noon, because I want to see piers individually.

個人的には埠頭を見てみたいので、次は昼に。

OSANBASHI YOKOHAMA

Meiji Shinto shrine on New Year's Day

I visited Meiji Shinto shrine in Harajyuku on New Year's Day.

元旦の日に原宿にある明治神宮へ初詣に行った。

It was noon on New Years Day, so there were many people.

元旦の昼だから人でいっぱい。

Maybe I might have waited about a hour.

一時間くらいは並んだかも。

But, It's good for various people to pay homage at a shrine for New Year, are good.

でも、色んな人が新年のお参りをする姿っていい。

I braced myself to start a New Year again.

一年がまた始まったと身を引き締められる。

I don't have an especial religion. But, I like the way of Japanese thinking that cherish a lot of gods without religions.

私は無信教だけど、宗教関係なく八百万の神を大切にしようとしてきた日本の考え方は好き。

So, people enjoy various events like this in a party mood.

だから皆こうして色んな行事をお祭りのように楽しめる。

Anyway,  people gathered yet.

それにしても、まだまだ集まる。

Harajyuku is worthy to be popular. There's no break even during New Year's.

さすが原宿。元旦も休みなし。

OSECHI

This year's Osechi-ryori was luxurious and delicious.

今年のお節料理は豪華で美味しゅうございました。

Osechi-ryori are specially-prepared New Year’s dishes to be eaten during the first three days of January. Most dishes are cooked in order to be preserved for at least three days so women don’t have to cook during that period. Various kinds of beautifully-prepared dishes are set in tiered lacquer boxes.
（おせち料理は正月三賀日に食べる特別の料理です。女性たちが三日間は炊事を休めるようにと、ほとんどのおせちが最低三日間は保つように作られています。様々な種類の料理が、美しく整えられ、段重ねの重箱に入れられます。）

Each of the dishes has some auspicious meaning which reflects people's wishes. For example, kazunoko, herring roe, represents fertility, kuromame, cooked black beans, are for health (mame means healthy), and lobsters are for longevity because their bodies are bent like an old man's.
（食べ物には人々の願いがこもったおめでたい意味があります。例えば、ニシンの卵である数の子は子孫繁栄の意味を、黒豆は「まめになる」、つまり健康になるという意味を、海老は曲がった姿が老人のようにみえることから長寿を意味します。）

A Happy New SPRING.

Heisei 23 years is the year of the Hare in Chinese zodiac.

平成23年、卯年。

I would like to spring like a rabbit in this year.

Noh play

 

 I went to The National Noh Theater by my friend's offer the other day.

 先日、友人の誘いで国立能楽堂へ行った。

 I haven't experience in seeing near the Noh stage.  So, I waited for the opening time as I be aching. 

 今まで能舞台を間近で見る経験がなく、わくわくしながら開演の時を待った。

The programs are Kyogen "Shimizu" and Noh play "Fujito".

演目は、狂言「清水」と能「藤戸」。

I have seen Kyogen, it's comedy, some times so that I chuckled with seeing it. But I didn't accustom myself to the Hayashi, Noh music and Jiutai, the chorus performance in Noh play.  

笑劇である狂言は何度か観た事があるので観ながら笑ったが、能は囃子や地謡に慣れなかった。

 It differ from Kabuki wholly.

歌舞伎とも全く違った。

But, I was interested in a situation that turned the scenes on the stage 5.4 meters square one after the other.

けれど、三間(5.4m)四方の舞台の上で次々と場面が移り変わる様が興味深い。

 I wanted to see other programs.

他の演目も観てみたくなった。

Though the Noh mask is beautiful, I bought a handkerchief just as I was leaving. 

帰りに能面がキレイで、ハンカチを買った。

  

I will go to see with this handkerchief.

このハンカチを持って、また観にいこう。

能楽事始

Lion Yuzu

I saw a lion citron first time.

初めて獅子柚子を見た。

 
It is about five times as large as a normal citron.

普通の柚子の５倍くらい大きい。

Like the lion.

さすが、獅子。

But, it is said that that content is like a grapefruit 

でも中身はグレープフルーツぐらいなのだそう。

The peel is like also a lion's face. 
表皮も獅子顔っぽい。


 

I tried to use this citron for a hot citron bath.  
この柚子は獅子柚子湯にしてみた。

My bath time became inadvertently long.

ついお風呂が長くなる。

GREEN GUM

I have chewed GREEN GUM.

久々にグリーンガムを噛んだ。

Then, there was the design of the G.

そしたら、Gの入ったデザインが！

The others in the same package had the same design as on the left.

これ以外は左のパッケージデザインと同じ柄だった。

It might be that first I bought GREEN GUM by myself.
思えば自分でグリーンガムを買ったのは初めてだったかも。

 I had never realized it until now.
今まで気づかなかった。

 GREEN GUM was designed by Taku Satoh, a graphic designer from 1993, and it seems to have been renewed taking the opportunity of the 50th anniversary chewing gum this year.

グリーンガムは1993年からグラッフィックデザイナーの佐藤卓さんがデザインしており、今年もチューイングガム50周年を機にリニューアルされていたようだ。

Board chewing gum is also good though I was always chewing grain chewing gum recently.
最近は粒ガムばかり噛んでいたけど、板ガムもいいな。

I'll search for the other design.
他のデザインも探してみよう。

"Gururi no koto"

I watched three DVDs a few days ago. 

先日3本のDVDを観ました。

I'll make a note of one of these movies.

そのうちの１本目をメモ。

"Gururi no koto"
「ぐるりのこと。」


This film described the ten year track of two persons. The protagonists are a married couple.  The husband was a courtroom artist, and the wife suffered from mental illness as a result of her newborn's death.

法廷作家の職についた夫と、生まれたばかりの子の死によって、心を病んでしまった妻という一組の夫婦を主人公に、二人の10年の軌跡を描いた映画。

 The stage is set in 1990's Japan.

舞台は90年代の日本。

 The social background of Japan, such as the trials of famous crimes, are included.

有名な犯罪の裁判など、日本の社会背景も含まれている。

The title "Gururi" indicates various events that happen in a person's surroundings.

この作題の「ぐるり」とは、人の身の回りで起こる様々な出来事を指す。

Stars: Tae Kimura, Lily Frankie

主演：木村多江、リリー・フランキー

When I saw an appearance of Lily's warm husband, it made me feel like I want to be like that.

リリーさんの温かな夫の姿を観て、こうありたいと感じさせられました。

People seems not a wall but waves which be gone. 
人が壁のように波のように消えていく。

These are a Furisode (a long-sleeved kimono) and an obi that I dressed up in, at my aunt's marriage.

叔母の結婚式で着た振袖と帯。

There's a variety of length of sleeves and occasions that a kimono is worn by someone,

着物は袖の長さや用向きで種類が異なり、

and unmarried women wear a Furisode, married women a Tomesode (a fastened sleeved Kimono).

結婚式では未婚女性は振袖を、既婚女性は留袖を着ます。

 A furisode symbolizes being a young single. It's an expression of love waving the long-sleeves at a man.  
振袖は、長い袖を振って男性に愛情表現を示すことから、未婚または若い女性の象徴となっています。

There are a wide various patterns and obis for Kimono. It's hard to put on an outfit of kimono which differs from a Yukata.

着物の文様や帯の結び方も多様で、浴衣と違って着物一式着るのは大変。

The pattern of this Furisode is "a classic pattern edged with clouds". 

今回の振袖は、「雲取り古典柄」の文様。

 

I had an obi knotted in a "Four wings" style. 
帯は、「四つ羽」という結び方をしてもらいました。

Arrangement of Obi-knots, similar to hair styles, vary.   
帯結びは髪と同じでアレンジが多様にあるそう。




I'd like to wear it again because a Furisode can worn only be worn now, it differ from a dress.
ドレスと違って、振袖は今しか着れないものだから、また着たいな。

Good Design Award

I looked at Good Design Award exhibition.

グッドデザイン賞の展示を見た。

Good Design Award is an activity which selects "good design" for Japanese development of comfortable life and industry, and has over 50 years of history .

グッドデザイン賞は日本の豊かな生活と産業の発展を求めて、「優れたデザイン」を選ぶ活動で５０年以上の歴史を持つ。

These pictures are goods I thought I would like to have from the exhibition.

写真は展示で欲しいと思った品々。

The first is a Marugame Fan named "ojigi"
丸亀うちわ「ojigi」

It's shape seems to bow down.

お辞儀をしてるようなカタチ。

It is easier to fan than a typical fan.

一般的なうちわより扇ぎやすい。

 It is a lightweight table that only weights 5㎏.

５㎏の軽いテーブル。

It becomes a shelf by stacking one on top another up.

重ねると棚になる。

On a side note, the grand prize is an "Air Multiplier " made by Dyson.

ちなみに、大賞はダイソンの「エアマルチプライアー」

The golden prizes were "HIBIYAKADAN  Hibiya park store" and "The tube hotel  9h" and so on.

金賞では、「ヒビヤカダン 日比谷公園店」や「カプセルホテル 9h」などなど。

ちなみに、この中では「大人のキリンレモン」が好き。

It says it's an adult carbonated drink.

Dorayaki

When I would eat a Dorayaki yesterday, I thought, somehow,

昨日、どら焼き食べようとした時、ふと思った。

"It is difficult to photograph Dorayaki."

”どら焼きの写真って、撮るの難しそう。”

Right then, I tried to photo it.

じゃあ、撮ってみよう。

Bean paste of adzuki beans was modest in sweet.

I listened to J-WAVE, a Japanese radio channel.

J-WAVEを聴いていた。

I was interested in their talk about COOL JAPAN with numero TOKYO editor in chief.

numero TOKYOの編集長とのCOOL JAPANについての話が興味深かった。

Bitter melon Saute

Today's supper was the Bitter melon Saute.

今日の夕食は、ゴーヤチャンプルー。

This is a local cuisin in Okinawa.

これは沖縄の郷土料理。

In Okinawa, "Bitter melon" is said "Goya" and "saute" is said "chanpuru".

沖縄では、"苦瓜"="ゴーヤ"で、"炒め"="チャンプルー"と言う。

Okinawa had been Ryūkyū Kingdom until the Meiji period. And so, there are left many original words which are different from Japanese.

沖縄は明治時代まで琉球王国だったから、日本語とは違う独自の言葉が多く残されている。

Even so, the Okinawa restaurant increased more than in the past.

それにしても、昔に比べて沖縄料理屋さん増えたなぁ。
